Abstract
This technical report presents a regional study conducted to understand the labour migration process in communities affected by water hazards, such as floods, flash floods, droughts and water shortages, in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan (HKH) region. It highlights some major findings as well as recommendations to support labour migration as a strategy to overcome the risks posed by water hazards. The field assessments were conducted in selected mountain and hill communities in China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan.
